4 HOW THEIR COMFORT IS , ATTENDED TO. ' (Rec. February 7, 8;30 p!m.) London, February 6. The report of the New Zealand High Commissioner (Sir T. Mackenzie) on the assistance rendered to New Zealand prisoners of war, shows that in addition to parcels of clothing, each receives 9s. worth of food per week, and cigarettes and tobacco every fortnight. Prisoners in Germany receive half-a-crown per week pocket money; those in Turkey receive from 10s. 4d. to 12s. 2d. .per week, according to-tho locality where they are imprisoned. Tlie latter receive a good local bread supply. There is great difficulty in sending parcels, which sometimes take from three to ten months in transmission. They receive .money more easily.:—Aus.-N.Z.
