ENTRIES CLOSE FEBRUARY 5. Entries for tho .Solway show, to bo liela by tho Masterton A. and P. Association on February '20 and 21, will close with the secretary (Mr. J. B. Enimett, box 40, Masterton) on February 5, at 9 p.m. The show this year promises to eclipse any exhibition of stock ever before seen in Wairarapa. Fresh green food and a copious supply of pure water are provided l for all livo stock exhibits. The association, in addition to substantial cash ptizes, are allotting a number of valuable trophies lor competition in the various sheep, cattle, and horse sections. There is a strong inducement for Komney Marsh breeders to exhibit at Solway, while- in Southdowns, besides trophies, will be awarded tho N.Z. Sheepbreeders' Association's gold medal for the bost 2-tooth ram. The substantial' prizes offered) in the cattle classes are sure to draw large entries. In the fat cattle section there will bo tho N.Z. Holstein-Friesiau Association's special prizes to compete for. In the fat cattle classes the association, in addition to ordinary prizes, aro offoring special prizes. Tho horse, dog, home industries, dairy produce, horticultural and school children's classes have been liberally catered for. Au attractive list of competitions has boon drawn up, including the champion jump (£SO), leaping competition (£l7), consolation jump (£l6), maiden jumping (£l4), trotting, driving, walking, and pony jumping, and musical stalls competition. Tho annual Tam and ewe fair will be hold on February 22 and 23, entries closing on February 5 with tho auctioneers. No late entries will be accepted. <•-■

FEILDING SHOW All arrangements arc complete for the Feilding A. ami P. Show on Tuesday and- Wednesday next,, and tlie quality of the entries indicates close work for tho judges. Train arrangements, including holiday excursion fares, should lie conducive to a large attendance. 1
