PREVAILING ANXIETY, (Rec. January 30, 11.30 p.m.) London, January 30. The Bradford wool market is quiet, and is anxiously awaiting tho result of the meeting on Wednesday botwceii the representatives of tho traders and the "War Contracts Department. At tho meeting of the Union Bank shareholders, tho chairman referred to the difficulty of financing business between Britain and Australia and New Zealand, and said that tho Governments concerned had considerably aided, the banks in connection with wool, wheat, and meat. The Army Council and tho Wool Control Committee have appointed Mr. Austin Wilson, of the Hull-Barnsley Railway, to superintend the wool tran-sit.—Aiis.-N.Z. Cable Assn. I ■
