SCHEME OF ORGANISATION. London, January 28. Mr. Neville Chamberlain explains that he is preparing a schemo to bo brought into operation at an early opportunity to utilise woman power similar to man power, but not on the same scaTe. Tho schemo will probably include girls of 16 and women up to 48 or 50. Mrs. Ray Strachey, honorary assistant secretary of tho .National Union of Women's Suffrage Societies, which has placed some thousands of women volunteers in the works, urges Mr. Nevilla Chamberlain to establish a woman's department, staffed and controlled entirely by wemen. Mrs. Strachey urges that under his direction such a department would ensure tho proper recruitment and selection of women suited for their .respective tasks, tbo women also to bo inspected and cared for by women, and fed' and housed according to their needs. —Aus.N.Z.
