The commmissioner reported that Mr. C. Carlson's renewed pasatoval license of Raketapauma run would expiro on lebTuary 28, 1917—1t was resolved to recommend that the present lessee be granted another renewal of his pastoral license for a term of one year from March 1, 15117, at rent hitherto paid, viz., .£lB2 ner annum, under Section 58 of tho Land Laws Amendment Act. 1013.—Recommended for tho approval of Minister of Lands. With regard, to Mr. V. Dixon's permit to occupy temporararily part of what is now Section 22, Block IV, Kaiaieke, it was resolved to confirm notice of cancellation as on January 25, 1917, which Kafl been issued to him. With reference to board's resolution of December 20, 1915, re proposed contribution of one-quarter of co3t towards construction of protective works fronting P B R Lot 5, of Section 101, Block I, Otahoun- S.D., the Masterton County Council wrote pointing out reasons why it is unlikely that the Masterton Borough Council would contribute onefourfh of the cost, and requesting that contribution, from Education Endowment Fund be increased.—lt was Tesolved under the circumstances to recommend that one-third of the cost be contributed from the Education Endowment Funds. 7 With reference to the board's resolution of November 28,' 1916, re disposal of

Mrs. J. J. M'Caldron applied to surrender her temporary permit to occupy Section 2, Block I, Maugaireka North Township, area 1 rood 15 porches, the building thereon having been condemned hy tho Health Department, and she desired to Toiuovo the building—Approved. Owing to A. B. Poulson re-euhstiiig, G. H. Poulson (father) asked permission to look after Section 17, Block V. Eoimia. S.D., until his son returns. The father has been asked to obtain a power ol attorney.—Approved. .
