THE HOLIDAY
The leading attractions to-day include the races at Trentham, where a good day's sport should bo witnessed. Picnic parties will no doubt find in the bays a pleasant day's outing. The Eastbourne ferry boats will ply back and fro all day. Holiday excursion' ararigements have also been made by the Railway Department. Holiday matinees will be given at His Majesty's Theatre and at the King's, where the "Common Law" is showing, while the Empress and Everybody's continuous theatres will be open all day. In the evening Mr. Phillip Lytton's compauy will present "The Waybacks" for the last time. As regards the weather—the Government Weather Bureau does not work on Sunday, and lay predictions' are apt to be somewhat speculative. As these lines are written everything points to a fine day, windy, perhaps, but not unpleasantly windy. '±ne rort Nicholson Yacht Club's annual regatta will bo held to-day. The forenoon will be devoted to the first and second-class yacht races, and a general handicap Tace will be held in the afternoon.
