A steamer recently left London with mails for I'itcairn Island, where dwell the descendants of the mutineers of tho Bounty. The population of 192 were, at their own request, removed to Norfolk Island in 1850, having become .-too large for Pitcairn in tho 67 years that had elapsed siiice the mutiiiv. Forty of thorn soon returned, however, and these had .increased in 101+ to 140. Two of the mutineers' descendants recently went to England, and were received by uie King.
