BRITISH WAR LOANS
BORROWING IN INDIA ,
London, January lg. The India' Office announces tne raising of a special war loan in India in 1917-18 for an unlimited amount, .which will be entirely handed over to tlie British Government for war purposes. The terms will be announced in the Indian financial statement, and will ba not less favourable than Home borrow-ings.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.-Router. RAILWAY' SUBSCRIPTION London, January 18. The Railway -Men's Union has subscribed a hundred thousand new money to the war loan, making £350,000 in subscriptions, including conversions.— Reuter. LAUDER"TAKES £50,000 (Eec.
