Yesterday was a fine breezy day m tho city and district. Showers fell on the West Coast and in tho southernmost, parts of tho South Island. Fair to cloudy conditions have, prevailed elsewhere. Heavv seas are reported on the West Coast. Presonf. indications aro for changeable and squally weather, with strong southerly winds, and passing showers.
