SITUATION IN GREECE
RATIONING THE POPULATION. London, January 14. Two huudred members of the British colony at Athens have arrived in London. Many suffered hardships throughout the war. Some broke up their homes at Constantinople, others their homos at Smyrna, before taking refuge in Greece. Captain Butler, Secretary to tho British Chamber of Commerce at Athens, stated that when the colony loft, rationing of tho Greek population was begun. Half a pound of'bread daily is allowed to each person of the population. There will bo sufficient food for three months.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
