Brewer;, once a very fine and successful cross-country rider in Melbourne. Trillion is bv The .Welkin, which Brewer selected- in "England for Mr. E. E. D. Clarke, and as ait ■ appreciation of his .judgment in buying the horse Mr. Clarke presented Trillion to Brewer. Mr.. Clarke has the reputation of presenting most of the stakes won by his horses to the stable connections.
