ITALIAN BATTLESHIP SUNK
\ HEAVY LOSS OF LIFE (Rec. January J4, 5.5 p.m.) London, January 13. 'An official message from Rome states that the battleship Regina. Margherita (13,214 tons) struck two mines in the open sea. on the night, of January 11-12 and sank in a. few minutes. Two hundred and seventy wore saved with difficulty out of a complement of 945. Tho missing include the captain and fourteen officers.—Aus.-N.Z, Cable Assn^Reuter. [Tho Regina Majgherita. was completed in 1904. She carried four 12in., four Sin;, and twelve 6in. guns, besides smaller weapons.]
