The steamer for Sydney direct this week is tho Rivcrina. whlph is due from Lyttelton this morning. The vessel is timed to sail for Sydney (it 5 o'clock' this afternoon. A wireless messago received yesterday stated that the Wimmera expected to arrive in port from Melbourne at 10 o'clock this morning. It is expected that tho vessel will sail for the return trin via southern ports on Saturday afternoon. Tho Union Company advise that the Mararoa, on account of required repairs in her hydroulici gear, will berth on arrival from Lyttelton ths morning at No. 1 Soutli Queen's Wharf.. If the repairs are effected in time she will shift to the Ferry Wharf during tho afternoon, but othcrwifo will .sail from the Queen's Wharf to-night.
