RETURN OF SUMMER
Yestorday witnessed a. return of milder weather. The southerly gale fell to a fresh breeze, and then eoKcned as it veered to the west. The sky was very hazy in the afternoon, and the air grew perceptibly warmer. Present indications are for moderate to strong southerly winds, veering lo the west, northward of Now Plymouth and Castlepoint, and freshening northerlies elsewhere. Fair to cloudy conditions are expected in the East Coastdistricts, and increasing haze and cloudiness generally, with a change following. The barometer will fall soon.
