SOME BIG FIGURES. (Rec. January 5, 9.25 p.m.) London, January 4,. .'A report on the winding up of five German-Austrian banks in London states that the liabilities discharged to the end of September totalled. £27:600,000 sterling. Securities worth ■ £7-,800,000 have been delivered to British, Allied, and neutral owners. The assets realised amounted to £23,460,000. The debt to the Bank of England has been reduced from £11,835,000 to £4,811,000. Securities estimated at twenty-six millions still remained in the bank's custody.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
