Describing German naval activity'in the Sound, a Stockholm correspondent of the "Manchester Guardian" says: — Tho Skanor fishermen told mo that Germany is making experiments with the view of practising cuttle-fish tactics in naval battles. Specially-constructed steamers, travelling at high speed, emit dense volumes of smoke, or vapour, which, when there fs no wind, lie long on the surface. The fishermen K"vc me extravagant accounts of banks of vapour ten miles long which they alleged they had seen oft' and declared that the next naval battle would be fought entirely in conditions of invisibility.
