APPROACHING FOCSANI ENEMY COMMUNIQUE. London, January 2. A wireless official message from Germany, regarding operations in Rumania, states: —Wβ stormed several hill positions in Oitoz yalley. MackonsQU forced the Russians to retreat further, and is sharply pursuing and defeating the reargard. The Austro-Germans are approaching Foceani, and the Fundens bridgehead positions. Wβ took 1300 prisoners.
