• MANY RESERVISTS FAIL TO ATTEND. . The. Medical Boara for. tiie Wellington Military District sat'in tlie city op Wednesday and.Thursday-'and.yes-terday, for the examination of reservists chosen for service.in.the first ballot. About 180 men had. been notified to appear before the" board at various times .during . the three, days, in order that their litness for service with the Expeditionary Forces migst be determined. The results of the proceedings may .be summarised as follows:—

There is reason to.believe that.in some cases th,c men may have failed-to receive their notices, owing to changes of addresses. Reservists 'who have disregarded . the summons deliberately have become liable to heavy penalties,
