LIVE STOCK SALES
Messrs. Dalgety' and Co.. Ltd., report having a fair yarding of cattle at their Paluicrston North sale on Thursday, but owing to counter attractions thero was only a small attendance of buyers. The following are the prices realised:—Springing heifers, £B Bs.; cows and calves, £10; empty cows, £8 125.; fat cows, £15; fifteen to eighteeu-months heifers, £4 195., £5 17s. 6d. Messrs. Wright, Stephenson and Co., Ltd., report having held their weekly sale in their Martinborough saleyards on Thursday, when they offered a good yarding of sheep and cattle, as advertised; There was a good attendance of buyers from all parts of tho district, and, competition being keen, we hud a total clearance at prices well above late- sales. Tho following is a. range of the values re-ceived:—Four-tooth, to f.m. ewes, with 100 per cent, of b.f. lambs, 625. 6d.; f.in. shorn ewes, with 100 per cent, lambs, 38s. 3d.; woolly forward ewes, 435. Bd.: -woolly sixtooth wethers, 445. 7d. ; woolly hoggets, 345. 3d.; fat bullocks, £19 55.; four-year bullocks, £15 55.; fat cows, £13 19s. to £14 17s. 6d.; fair'store cows, £11 10s.; cows and calves, £11 165.; heifers and calves, £8 55.; two-year steers, £9 18s.; threeyear Holstein heifers, £9.175.; three-year Ayrshire heifers, £9 25.; three-year forward heifers, £10 10s.; Holstein bull, £12.-
