The annual report of the Gear Meat Preserving and Freezing Company of New Zealand, Ltd., is as follows:"Including. the amount brought for : ward, and after making allowance for depreciation and payment of interim ifcidend, there remains -a, balance of £72,452 17s. sd„ -which ..the directors recommend for appropriation as follows:—In payment of dividend of 10 .per cent, for the year ended November 30. less interim dividend of 5 pec.-cent, paid in June, £4600: in payment of dividend of 5 per cent.' from profits earned by reserve funds, less Zi per cent, naid in .June, £2300: in payment of special dividend referred _ to below, £4600: appropriation to cover liability for surplus profits and income taxes, etc., in New Zealand and Great Britain, £35,000: to be carried forward to next year's account, £25,952 17s. 5d.: total, £72.452 17s. sd. "In consequence of the company's abnormal receipts during the period under review, the directors recommend the payment for this year only of a special dividend of 5 per cent. Owing to the satisfactory' result of operations in connection with the company's insuranoe reserve, the directors recommend the payment of a bonus of 5 per cent, on the paid-up' capital out of that account. The retiring directors are Dr. A. K. Newman, M.P.,
and Mr. Harold Eeauchamp, who, being I eligible, offer themselves for re-election. ! The auditors, Messrs. E. T. Badham and E. W. Hunt, also offer themselves for reelection."
