WOODVILLE MEETING .RED RIBBON WINS GOTHARD * MEMORIAL. By Telegraph-Special Correspondent. * Woodville, December 7. For tho concluding day of tho Woodvillo Jockey Club's' Meeting there was favourable weather. Light showers fell during tho day, and improved the going. The attendance was good, the totalisator turnover being .£16,061, making a total of .£32,179 for tho meeting, as compared with .tt!9,67-i last year. Of tho nineteen acceptors for tho Telegraph Hack Handicap, 16 went_Jo tho post. Tho display of Form tip on tho first day was sufficient to mako him a good favourite. Ho drew a good marble, and excepting Comment was tho quickest to begin. With two furlongs gono ho was out by himself, and led for tho rest of tho journey. Golden Glade and Comment had a good raco for second place, and tho former stayed on the bottor. Tuticorn was fourth, and then canio Wcstolln, who showed paco in the first part, and Ngarua. Tho markot fluctuated a lot in tho Hack Hurdles, and sovoral of the runners wero well backed. Janitor finished up favourite, and he was winning "easily, but at the last fenco ho jumped tlio inside rail on tho plough. Kurapai then rushed through, and won nicely from Mt. Victoria, who as usual gave a start. Hyllus was out for a milo whon ho tired, and was beaten out of a place. Jem was placed third, and Sir Fisher fourth. Surtax was prominent for a time, but ho failed to go tho pace sot. Tho Hack Welter Handicap was easily tho best raco of tho mooting, and resulted in a very fino finish. At tho start Probation and Tornea wero the most prominent, and rounding tho bend thoy wero still in chargo, with Sir Agnes, Maraototara, aud Mystified also prominent. In tho straight Syntax Dili. i n a claim on tho outside, and Tho'Golfer got through on tho fence Maxaetotara appeared to bo winning half a furlong from homo, hut Tho Golfer finished too well, and heat tho Hastings horse by a nock. Probation was a head away, ana in a lino ca.mo Syntax, Tornea, and Hastip. , All tho acceptors went out for the Gothard Memorial Handicap, and after a pretty race to tho distanco Red Ribbon and Ararat shot out, and finished in the places. At 1 tho start Bjornoborg and Cleft led a bunched field, with Discussion and Black Ada prominent of tho others. Entering tho straight tho field bunched, but at tho finish, tho placegetters shot out, and Red Ribbon won by a couplo of longths. Black Ada was a longth away, and then came Cleft. Maniaroa and Orleans failed badly, but Bjorneborg ran a much hotter raw. Tho distanco was too short for Blackall, who appeared to bo a greatly improved .horse for his race on tho first day. Bon Revo also stripped well, but began on tho outside, and wont round the field tho wholo way.

Ayah was a very short-priced favourite in tho Stewards' Hack Handicap, but in tho raco sho was nothing like tho good thing suggested by the machine price. Tho light-weight Wainiatpa, who had the minimum, made the paco a cracker, and led till within a fow strides, when tho three-year-old filly caught and bent him. Sir Wallace, who had been chopped out at the barrier, put in, a good run, and was only a head away in third place. Namur ■ was prominent tho whole way, and finished fourth. The winner showed herself to be possessed of a lot of grit, and sho finished in a most determined manner under tho stick. It was a good performance to concede tho runner-up a year and 841b. Tho Railway Handicap resulted in another .very fino finish, the whole of tho runners except Tino Atua, who was loft at tho post, being in a bunch at tho end. Powder Fox was unruly at the barrier, and delayed tho start. Tho dispatch was a good one, all except Tin'o Atua moving off in a line. Menelaus, the favourite, 60on fell. back, but not for long. Entering tho straight ho was oh tho outside of six horses, whilo Sea Lord got through oh tho fence-. A great iinisb. gave the top weight a. win by. a nose. Veto was a length away, and then camo Hushabye, Perceler, and Spcctual. '

Teka was much bettor fancied • to-day than was tho caso yesterday, and ho finished up a good favourite in tho Ruawhato Hack Handicap. Sovoral others wero well supported, including Antwerp, Glorify, Black Lake, and Wapping. At' tho start Mascot led Wapping and Teka. Black Lake, ran up to'tho leader across tho bottom, but ontering tho straight she hung out, and Mascot gained an advantage. Half-way down tho. running Maraetotara challenged, but could mako no impression on tho leader. Wapping t'hen camo through on tho fence, and in a good finish failed by a neck. The winnor is ono of J. W. Lowo's team, and this was her first win. • Antwerp ran well to the tarn, where the weight told. Sir Wallaco was again slow to find his feet, but ho was running on well in fourth place at the finish. Teka and Hopeite wero the nest to finish. Miralma, who got a very bad run at Ashhurst, and Sir Agnes, who stands up to racing well, were the favourites for tho concluding ovent. When they jumped off. Sir Agnes was in front, and led out of tho straight, with . Bradamanto handy. Going down tho back Miralma and ilexton oveii up fast, and Miralma led into tho straight. Sir Agnes tried to go with her, but had not tho pace, and the maro won comfortably, while Sir Agnes was ridden right out to beat Hexton and Fore. Zous ran very badly.
