Fletcher, selector of Section 49, Block 11, AVaiopalui (Heathcrlca Settlement) applied for permission to reside with his father-in-law, Mr. Murray, of Ohau, during tho course of the war, or until Mr. Murray is able to sell his land. Mrs. AV. E. A. Blackwell applied to have Charles Forest appointed substitute for Tesidenco on Section 16, Block IV, Hantapu, in place of Mrs. S. F. Amer. James. Ryman forwarded plans and specifications of the house he proposes building on Education Reserve Section 1608, Block IX, Kairianga, for the approval of the board. A letter was received from James Harrtenn stating that he could not accept permit to occupy Crown Land in Block XVI, Manganui, on terms offered, aud it was resolved to cancel tho permit. E. Olsen applied for a permit to occupy Crown land in Block XA r I, Kaitieke S.D. It was resolved to decline his application. AVith regard to the board's resolution of October 26, granting F. H. AVilson a temporary permit to occupy Section 4, Block XI, Reterukc, 7 acres 0 roods 30 perches, a letter was received from him pointing out that this tenure ,would be unsatisfactory, and it was resolved to group it with his present holding 2, Block X, Rjtaruke S.D., and allow him to select it under the Discharged Soldiers' Settlement Act, 1915. With reference to the board's resolution of October 26, postponing consideration of applications from Messrs.. R. T. Cowern and F. Anderson for licenses'to split in bush on Crown land near Spiral, Raurimu, it was resolved io grant the splitting permit to Mr. Cowern at the same rate of'royalty as charged to tho original licensee.
