— ♦ FORECAST AND SUMMARY AT i P.M. YESTERDAY. Present indications are for stormy weather with rain probable generally, and snow on the higher levels in the south. Expect west lo south-westerly winds, strong to gale, barometer falling further in tho north, but rising in the southern districts and everywhere fitter about sixteen hours. An intense westerly storm area has developed in tho south. High northerly and westerly winds liavo prevailed, and rain has fallen in most parts of the Dominion. D. 0. BATES. Meteorological Ofllra.
