Freyberg, the New Zealandor, who was tho hero of tho recent attack by tha British naval division at . the Battle of tho 'Ancre, is lying seriously- ill; at the London Hospital. , Ha received four wounds. Lieutenant-Colonel Freyberg won the Distinguished Service Order at tho Dar- < for swimming to the shore and , lighting flares to' draw tho Turks' fire. - 'All war correspondents eulogise his heroism. One declares: "Seldom has there been a case where success was so clearly due to one man's personality." The "Morning Post's" correspondent piotures "a strange, flying figure, wrapped in soiled bandages, loading his men over; the worst obstacles."
