A POLICE APPOINTMENT
~ INSPECTOR NORWOOD COMES HERE AS SUPERINTENDENT.. The Minister in Charge of the Police (the Hon. A. L. Herdman) announced on Saturday that Inspector Norwood, of Invercargill, would como to Wellington to take the office of superintendent of the district vacated by the promotion of Mr. J. O'Donovan to tho position of Commissioner. _ Other changes among senior officers -will yet be. necessary, but these are being beld over meantime. "Until the series of changes can be made, Invercargill Station will be administered from Dunedin.
