AN AMBITIOUS IDEA
ZPARADE FROM CLYDE QUAY TO ! KILBIRNIE. The improvements which are being made to the Oriental Bay foreshore are, the Mayor considers, being pushed forward with satisfactory expedition. However, it will bo a good while yet before lb is completed. The filling-in where the band rotunda is to be is a big undertaking, but the expense is being minimised through street sweepings being utilised for the filling purposes. The Mayor states that it is his ambition to one day see the parade which now graces portion of Oriental Bay extended right round tho Queen's Drivo to Kilbirnie. The distance is a couple of miles, and .the work would be a big one, and would probably havo to bo spread over a number of years.
