MUNICIPAL FISH MARKET
£131 LOST IN FIVE MONTHS. The following statement of accounts in connection with the business of the Municipal Fish Market as at the end of August was land before the City Council on Friday night:—To purchases at market, £487 65.; remittances to consignors, £350 Bs. lid.'; salaries and wages, £150 12s. Id.; telephone and sundries, £87 Is. 9d.—£loßl Bs. 9d. Five months' interest on capital expenditure, £9 18s. 4d.; fivo months' rent, £4 3s. 4d.; proportion of office expenses, £62 10s.; sundry creditors, £23 13s. 3d.—£loo 4s. llil. Total, £1181 13s. Bd. By - sales, £1037 18s; lid.; fish on hand, £12—£1049 18s. lid. Councillor J. Godber stated that the loss on the market for five months had been £131 14s. 9d.
