Air. Wiikio a's the wble Moor fare a vivid melodramatic, ii somewhat uneven, portrayal, in tbo heat of his jealous ratings, his utterance became at times thiek and incoherent, biit there was no uiiatakiug the tigerish nature oi his thoughts when, goaded by tlio subtle Jajo. Mr. Wilkie was seen to advantage iu the tinal scene, where dignity and pathos were commingled with soiiio tine restrained acting.. An even finer performance was that of Mr. Walter Euut as iago. This actor, who lias 110 peer in the company as a speaker of Shakespearean text, gave a polished and subtle portrait of that most devilish person, acting with rare distinction, and missing no point, aither of sardonic humour or obscure alusion. MissFredis-wy-de Hunter-Watts inado a charming Desdemona, a role that oilers few opportunities for histrionic display, save an aptitude for pretty pleading, in which the actress excels. Miss Valentino Sidney was a very ">compctent Emilia, and Miss Elwyn Harvey was a delightful mrtengant as Bianca. Mr. Vivian Edwards acted competently aa Cassio. Mr. Edward Landor fooled cleverly as Rodorigo, and Mr. Fred Kehoe made an excellent Brabantjo. / The season will conclude this evening, when "Othello" will bo again performed.
