KHANDALLAH DEBATING SOCIETY

I Oil Tuesday evening tho final meeting of the 1916 session ot the above society was held when tho subject of debate was "That all moneys required for war purposes 6hould be raised by direct taxation, and not any by voluntary contributions." Messrs. W. A. Patterson, J: H. Meadowcroft, arid G. Burt spoke in tho affirmative, while the negative was taken by Messrs. E. Noes, F. Noes, and A. E. Budd. Messrs. S. P. Curtis and J. H. Richardson also took part. On the resolution being put to the meeting, the affirmative was carried by a substantial majority. During the month of- October members of the society are producing "Tho Merchant of Venice" for the purpose of raising funds.for the combined Khandallah Bed Gross Guilds.
