BRINGS DOWN GERMAN AEROPLANE. By Telegraph—Press Association. Auckland, September 27. News of the success of a young Auck* land aviator, Second Lieut. Keith L; Caldwell, has been received by cablegram from London. The message' states that he succeeded last week in bringing down a, German aeroplane whilst engaged in flying duties on the Western front. No particulars of thai fight have been received. Whilst ha' was undergoing his training at Kohima- ' rama, Lieat. Caldwell showed considerable aptitude as an aviator. His success in a combat with the enemy amply justifies: the expectations that were formed of him when he left to go on aotive service.
