. * - ACCIDENT ON A TROOPSHIP. A man named Robinson, aged 26, residing at 30 Harrison Street, Brooklyn, was admitted to tho Hospital at 8.30 a.m. Saturday, suffering from injuries to liis Tiip and head. Robinson was working on a troopship, .when he slipped, and fell ten feet. DEATH OF A SOLDIER. A death occurred on the Pateena at G o'clock on Saturday morning under somewhat strange circumstances. Sergeant Jonn Wood, N.Z.M.C., who had been attached for duty at Hanmar, and whose next-of-kin is Mrs. JI. Wood, of Glen Road, Morningtoii, Dunedin, was on his way up from Lytteltou on leave, having- boarded the Pateena on Friday night. Ho had been unwell during the night, and was )found dead on ono of the hatches next morning. The Pateena, which arrived in Wellington at noon, was met by Captain Vine, of the Defence Department, and the polico, and the body was removed to the morgue. A PARMER'S SUICIDE.
