Only a limited number of sheep and cattle were yarded. Cattle sold at prices equal to those ruling last week, whilst bidding for sheep was keen. Wo Quoto:—Cattle: Springing heifers, up to £11; empty cows, £7; yearling steers, £5; heifers, £3 15s. In sheep thfire is a sound demand for fats and good sound hoggets. Inferior hoggets amd backward ewes are not sought after. The tone of the cattle market continues very firm, and prices for all classes continue to rise. Quotations:—At Hunterville: Medium crossbred hoggets, 199. 9d. to 225.
