. JOHNSONVILLE CLUB. The amiua] report ,of the Johnsonvillo 3owling Club, to bo presented at the itmual meeting on August 24, state's hat owing to the limited membership rnly half the green was prepared for day, and was in excellent order hroughout the season. The usual club orapetitions were arranged, but owing o unforeseen circumstances were not lompleted. The trophy presented by ha vice-president (Mr. H. E. Harrap) or the champion singles was won by tfr. A. Morgan. The' club won the Sdwin Feathers from the . Thorndon 31ub, and successfully defended them or five conseoutive games, finally losng them tp Lyall Bay. The following ■epresented the club during the season: —Wellington Centre: Messrs. Mills, A. Hamilton, Petrio, Turner (s.); Chauilion Pairs: Messrs. Petrie and Turnor; Jhampion Rinks: Messrs. V. A. Mills, iarrap, Orr, Thompson (s.). Mr. Nornan Cook, one of the directors, has snlisted for activc service during the var. The number of tho members at ;ho close of the season was 28. As ;he club has facilities for a much larger lumber, the directors desire that each' nember will do his utmost to' secure >ne or more members for tho coming season.
