Mnrchal's flight across Germany states that he left Nancy iji a special monoplane at 9.30 p.m. on Juno 20, with petrol for a fourteen hours' flight. His mission was to traverse, the country at a low altitude, drop proclamations in Berlin, and then land in Russia. He flew all night, and alighted at Cholm (in Poland) owing to a defect. Tho proclamation dropped in Berlin stated: "Wo could have bombarded the city, and killed women and children. We content ourselves with dropping a proclamation." Marchal is interned at Salzorbach.
