ORGAN RECITAL.
A fair number wero present at the Town Hall on Saturday evening when Mr. Bernard T. Pago gavo another organ recital. Those present were, treated to a delightful evening's entertainment, for Mr, Page had selected a programme of special merit. It included such numbers as Salome's "Pieco Symphonique," "In Passing Moods," MacDowell; "Summer Sketches" (Dawn, The Bee, Cuckoo. Twilight, arid Evening), Le'mare; a "Prehuio and Fugue in D Major," Glazoundv; Elegy No. 2 in G (for strings l Tchaikovsky; and Groig's ever-popular "Pcer'Gynt Suite." Mr. Page has noticeable partiality for the work of .Russian composers. Tho Prelude .. and Fugue (Glazounov) played by the organist is the only composition- written by that composer for the organ, his activity having been exercised mostly in the sphere of orchestral music. The number was excellently interpreted by Ifr. Page, who also excelled in Lcmare's ''Summer Sketches," depicting in turn the dawn, tho bee, the cuckoo, twilight, and finally evening. Tho other items were treated in Mr. Pago's-best style.
