FURTHER SUCCESSES BY THE ITALIANS / STRONG POSITION SEIZED IN A STORM The High Commissioner reports: London, June 21, 3.10 p.m. "The Italian official report says:—"Between the Adiane and the Astieo an artillery action is proceeding. "At the head of the Posinu Valley, in a heavy storm, detachments of our Alpine troops captured a strong position south-west of Mount Purche. "On the western slopes of Mount Cengie infantry engagements have been in our favour. , ■ , ~ - "South-west of Asiago on Monday night three attempted surprises by the enemy were repulsed with heavy loss. "North of the Frenzela Valley our troops yesterday continued their difficult advance, but were hindered by stubborn resistance. "Squadrons of our Caproni, Savoi, and Farman aeroplanes—thirty-four machines—bombed Pergine aerodrome. They were fired on by a number of the enemy's anti-aircraft' guns, but returned safely, after bringing down three hostile machines." AUSTRIAN LOSSES IN THE TRENTINO.
