A WAY OUT.
Kir.—l slioulu liku to sustffst to thoifi Labour leaders who object to tho Military Service Bill that if thoy were l« go in a body and onlist, instead of holding meetings and talking a lot of rubbish about conscription, there would bo no ncijil to have conscription. It is largely owing to their own actions that conscription' has been made accessary. How else can we get at such people as those who are able and will not enlist? If all our able men voluntirily offered their service, like tho many true and brave ones who havo and are still doing, whero would tho need of conscription come in? And how much ..prouder wo should all feel if it could be done without. But as long as we'liave men who will nofr do their bit we must havo some way of making them do it. So the Labour people havo it in their own hands to moke conscription unnecessary, and the best way for thorn to <lo so is to use their powers of oratory in getting young men to como forward voluntarily, as all true, brave New Zealanders should, and so many have, donn. , So hurry up, and do your bit a in a free and willing way, and do away with conscription—l am, etc., A NEW ZEALAND!®.
