Wellington City Council, held on tho Ist day of June, 191G, the following resolution was passed: "The Wellington City Council hereby makes by Special Order the following By-law under and by virtue of and in exercise of and in pursuance of the powers vested in it by the Municipal Corporations Act, 1908, and its Amendments and bv tho regulations made by the Governor dated 16th September, 1907, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of 19(ih September, 1907, and under and by virtue of and iii exercise and in pursuance of' all other powers and, authorities enabling it ill that behalf." - The' Short Title of the By-law is Tho Wellington City By-law No. 26 (Milk Control), 1916." The objects and purport of the By-law ' (1) To enable tihe Council to control the milk supply , of the City. (2) To appoint Inspectors of Milk and Dairies in the City and to prescribe their powers and-' duties. (3) To provide for the taking of samples of milk and the testing of such samples. , .
