WAR BONUS GRANTED
IN ENGINEERING' INDUSTRY.

■ Christchurch, June 6. ;The engineering establishments of the '.. city, have: agreed to pay .their employees : -a'war bonus of three shillings per *weeK. This decision had teen; reached as the : result of a conference..between ■ tatives of ' the .Ironmasters'' Association /Valid. the.Engineers' Union. ■ . / Over 900 men are affected by the agree,mcnt,.and they include fitters, turners, brass finishers, metal workers' assistants, moulders, coach workers, machinists, and fuxnacemen. ' The new agreement will /take effect as from June 1.. continuing un- .. til November 30, when it will come up for/revision. . The bonus will be paid to : ;al! employees of 21 years of age and over, . 'but apprentices are not included in the . arrangement:
