MR. WILFORD ON MR. ALLEN.
Sir,—Some peoplo will no doubt be pleased at Mr. Wilford's attack on Mr. Allen. We aro a curious race, but the Germans seem to understand .us. After a damagiug Zeppelin raid, one of their newspapers stated that the British people must not. construe the raid as an act of war; it was .-meant as a compliment, knowing the British predilection for "gasbags." . Will, the people never tiro of the emptiness of such politicians as ilr. Wilford? We have lost, and are going to lose, thousands of valuable > lives because our nation heeds words, not work. How long, 0 Lord, how long? Will we never learn?—l am, etc., SO TIRED OF THIS. CLASS OF / PUBLIC MAN.
