• PROSECUTIONS PENDING. . Two prosecutions for. alleged striking haro been instituted By the New Zealand Labour Department. In the Magistrate's Court on Friday, fifteen men, who were members of the crow -of tho steamer Maori, will be charged with having broken the' law by striking on the occasion when work was ceased on account of a grievance over a man who was said to have been telling tales. • On May 16 the Petoiio Woollen Workers' Union will bo charged with having'struck, contrary to law, and a penalty of £200 will be claimed.
