ISLAND STEAMER OVERDUE

C FLORA FROM AUCKLAND TO RAROTONGA. By Telegraph—PreßS Association. Dunedin, April 28. Information has been received that the steamer Flora is overdue from Auckland to Rarotonga. Arrangements have been made for tho Mapourika, and the Moana (tho latter leaving. Wellington for San Francisco) to keep a look-out.. The Talune, leaving Auckland on Monday, will visit. 1 .the Kermadeci Islands, and arrangements havo been made for a steamer to leave Papeete and visit Raiatea and the outlying islands. The overdue vessel is fitted with wireless, and is in charge "of Captain Appleyard, who is well acquainted with the Island routes. Later A wireless message from Papeete states that the Flora's machinery is disabled.
