From Newcastle*, which port was left on Good Friday morning, tho Union Company's collier Kaitangata arrived in iport shortly after 10 o'clock yesterday morning. Owing to a mistake in telegraphing the departure from the coal port of the vessel it was thought that she was some two days overdue. It was telegraphed that departure was taken on Tuesday, April 18, whereas she did not leave until Friday, April 21. Fair weather was experienced on the trip across the Tasman.' TALOONA DUE THIS MORNING. With 516 tons of general cargo to land the Paloona is expected about 8 o'clock this morning from Melbourne, via the south. She will leave for Melbourno direct about noon tomorrow. AMOKUEA EEPOETS "ALL WELL." The Marine' Department has received word from Captain Hooper, of the Amokura, which arrived back at Port Glialniers on Wednesday from her periodical vif it to the outlying islands, stating that all was well at the Antipodes, and Bounty Islands. There was no sign of wreckage or castaways, and the Various' depots were intact. The training ship will remain at the southern port for a few days, and will, it is expected, turn up here about the end ■ of next week.
