ARRESTED MEN FINED. By Telegraph-Press Association.

Auckland, April 27. Four members of the Maori Contingent who were arrested as the result of a street disturbance on Monday were before the Court to-day. They admitted that they obstructed the police in the performance of their duty. Tho Magistrate said probably the affray arose through drinking and a misunderstanding by the Maoris that they were not amenable to civil law.' Fines of from 10s. to £1 were imposed.
