WAR RELIEF
WELLINGTON ASSOCIATION,
At a meeting of the Relief Committee of the War Relief Association of Wellington, held just before the holidays, forty applications were dealt with. On the motion of Mr. L. 0. H. Tripp, the following resolution was carried :—
"The Relief Committee of the War Relief Association of AVellington ie aware that men in uniform have applied for and obtained assistance from certain citizens. The committee is anxious that every case of a soldier in ■want of assistance should be reported to the eecretary of the War Relief' Association of Wellington, and that money, instead of being paid to applicants direot, shouldbe entrusted to tho association to administer. The secretary will at once make whatever investigation is necessary, and the commit* I tee will see that all deserving cases are attended to promptly."
