GRADING OF TEACHERS

STATEMENT OF THE MINISTER. By Telegraph-Press Association. Auckland, April 27. 'A deputation from the First Assistant Schoolmasters' Association informed the Hon. J. A. Hanan that it was not. antagonistic to the grading scheme. It desired that lists should be published in each district until a uniform standard is reached. The Minister stated that the whole scheme was being placed before the Teachers' Conference in' 'Wellington. He stated emphatically his intention to introduce the scheme m accordance with the list. Improvements would be made as the result of experiience.
