A.J.C. AUTUMN MEETING
By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright (Rec. April 22, 8.5 p.m.) Sydney, April 22. Tho weather was fine and the attendance large for the opening day of tho A.J.C. autumn meeting'. The heavy rain which fell overnight improved the going, and fast times were recorded during the day. Tho public selected Tho Spire in the First Hurdles, and, ably handed by E. Moon, the favourite realised expectations, and won in record time. The Now Zealand-owned Reputation atoned for several previous disappointments by winning tho Autumn Stakes. 31. Cannell kept nis mount handy throughout,- and, catching the favourite inside the distance, beat him well. The Doncastei- Handicap considered n good thing for Woorak. " Ho looked n winner a furlong from home, but was unable .to stall off a rank outsider in Eurobin, who won by a narrow margin. The results were as follow:— FIRST HURDLES, of 400 eors. Two railed.
