VOTE OF NO-OONFIDENCE IN THEIR PRESIDENT.
By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, April 20. A meeting of the Auckland AVaterside Workers' Union, at which 600 were present, carried a Resolution of want-of-confidence in the president (Mr. Wood), and removing him from office. Thera were five dissenting votes. The election of a neiv president was deferred. Mr Wood has Deen president for nearly, two years, and occupied the position 6f walk-, ing delegate, which was abolished just before tho recont acceptance, by the union of the open-door policy in admit-, ting members. It is stated the step taken is not duo to any opposition to arbitration. .
As a rule, Japanese plays last from six o'clook in tlie morning until nine at night. ■
