"BRITAIN PREPARED"

SIR JOSEPH WARD'S PRAISE.

During the interval at the King's Theatre last night, the Minister of Jjmance (Sir Joseph Ward) briefly addressod those present in reference to entitled "Britain Prepared." Ho congratulated tho proprietors of tho theatre upon their enterprise in scouring tho film, which so vividly portrayed what was going on ui tho Old World at the present time. We were deeply interested in it all, and nothing could more impress upon the minds of those seeing the pictures the tremendous changes which had taken place since the start of the war. Jhe munition works were a lesson in themsolvcs. (Applause.) Here Britain had brought her organisation to such order that shct was enabled not only to . manufacturd for her own requirements, but "to help Russia, France, and Italy. It showed what wonderful people these old Britishers we're when they got under way, even if they were iato in starting. (Applause.) And then there was the Royal Flying Corps. When one saw those men of the air and realised that, after starting, behind our opponents, they had overtakon them and forged ahead, it furnisher! food for thought. Britain first established her mastery on the sea, and then gained tho mastery of the old submarines as she was going to master the new ones —(applause)— and when on top of all this our men of the air were so bent on gaining and retaining the mastery of tlie air,; it proved the, determination of the nation to win right out. He again congratulated the proprietors on bringing the picture before the public, and hoped' we should all be able to meet before very long and celebrate the victory that was surely coming for the Old Flag. (Applause.)'
