Their Excellencies the Governor and)' the Countess of Liverpool, who have been in residence in Christclnirch for the past six weeks, returned to Wellington by the Maori yesterday morning, and will remain here until after' the session. Mr. Gavin Hamilton (private secretary) and Mr. G. H. Helmore (A.D.C.) also came back by the same boat.

The Hon. A. L. Herdman, who has been in the TJrewera Country, will remain in Rotorua until Monday, and he expects to be back in Wellington on Tuesday morning.
